More than imagination

I have an endless list of to-do's and wish-I-did's. At times I wish it would all just do itself and I could sit on Pinterest all day. But alas, no such luck. I get overwhelmed easily by my constant flood of small things to do that add up endlessly. To add insult to injury I am always thinking up new ideas and finding new things to be interested in and to potentially be super passionate about - and then my old passions surface and I wonder why I'm not as into them as I have been previously, or why I've let them shift to the back burner when I still love them so dearly.

Then I came across this on Pinterest the other day. It has been burning in my mind ever since.
What if instead of spending all day on the computer, or crashing after work with endless netflix we actually did something. Something productive. Something we've wanted to do. Something potentially as simple as daily chores... or something incredibly bigger. Put a little tick mark next to that lengthy list of to-do's, or cross it off entirely. Move forward, progress, create, craft, bake, invite... the opportunities are endless.

What would happen if you pursued things and stopped imagining but actually lived your dreams? What might you do? What might you accomplish? How might you feel? How can your world change?

Stop.

I know what you are thinking. Don't crowd your mind with "should have's" and "what if's" and "can't" but don't let it!

A simple sentence reorganization can change everything. Make that change. Say it. Repeat it in your head.

What are your priorities? What could you accomplish if you changed your process of thought and really allowed yourself the freedom to do the big things? What kind of things might you think about differently? What will you do?

Stop dreaming, stop imagining, stop living your life vicariously through social media and live! Your life is worth more living than simply being lost in your imagination.

Now, take a moment and look around you.
In a minute, close your computer and think. Now go! Do!
Do something!!! Anything! Even the little things count as something, and don't allow yourself to think otherwise.
